Contacted prospective customers at their home over the phone offering local, long distance, and features for their home-based phone line. Meeting the daily sales quota under a heavy floor supervisor’s pressure.

PC SUPPORT (PADILLA CONSULTING) – San Ysidro, CA Aug/99–Aug/02
I established my own consulting business using the skills I gained in college and on my own, and have contracted my services as: end-user support; individual and classroom software/hardware instruction; hardware repair, installation and sales; network design, installation, and administration. My contracts have included:

· Fluor Gulf Communications, Inc.
Trained as Certified Wireless Telecommunications Installer for AT&T’s new project starting in San Diego, learning about Radio Frequency Signals, Local Network Porting, Field Installation Test (FIT), Base Station Operating Center (BSOC), Remote Signal Static Interface (RSSI), Remote Unit Antenna (RUA), Angel Box (AB), and Customer Service Training among others to measure RFS and determine the exact location for the RUA and AB, for the successful installation of the new Wireless Telephone Line to the customer’s location. Filling out Trouble Failure Reports (TFR), when notification of the AT&T Quality Control Engineer was needed, and login it into the TFR Tracking Matrix.

· Robert Half International/Advanta
Supported a workstation migration effort from Windows 95 to Windows NT for their client (Advanta Mortgage).
Upgraded over 1000 workstations, including hardware troubleshooting, imaging up to 16 workstations simultaneously through a Summit switch using the "Unattended" method and Winstall imaging application, configuring each user in the Novell 4.0 server through MS Novell Client for Windows NT. I installed department-specific applications (MS Office Professional, Outlook, AS/400 Emulator, and other proprietary software), on the workstations and tested and supported all applications for proper functionality over the phone using Remedy Tracking Software.


· TRC/Vulcan Materials
Created the materials’ shipping reports using two networked Command Data VT 510 terminals remotely connected to a Mainframe 4300 VAX Host Base System running VMS 6.0. I processed employee time cards, customer orders, product prices, and quantities shipped, and printed tickets and reports for Vulcan Materials, Co. – CalMat Division I troubleshot the manager’s Windows 95 PC with MS Office Professional Suite.

· R&R International, Inc.
Performed the complete evaluation of and recommendation for the purchase of the local area network (LAN) devices. I designed and installed the wiring for the new network; provided the administration and maintenance of Windows NT server and users’ workstations, and proposed hardware/software for the Company’s Web Server. I edited forms used for the United States/Mexico Customs Imports-Exports required documentation.

CITICORP DEVELOPMENT CENTER – Los Angeles, CA
Project Manager Assistant (Internship) Feb/97–Jul/97
I wrote and edited portions of the System Development Methodology (SDM) binder; managed and secured developers’ files on Windows NT and edited tables on UNIX platform. I tested developers’ software on UNIX simulation environment and installed it on actual Windows NT CAT hardware. I assisted management in tracking developers’ code and reported weekly progress to manager using MS Office applications.

I provided information to students/faculty with computer problems i.e. networking, and hardware/software (AS-400, PCs, Laptops, Laser and Dot Matrix Printers, WAN, and LAN peripherals).
